Lucia Caminos is the first playable female lead in a mainline Grand Theft Auto. The first trailer opens on her, and the second gives her most of its weight.
The qualifier matters. Earlier spin-offs and multiplayer modes have let players be women; what is new is a numbered entry built around one as a story protagonist.
